Terms of Service

01Agreement

By creating a ZarKul account or using zarkul.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

02What ZarKul is

ZarKul is a personal and household finance management application. It helps you record transactions, track accounts, manage budgets, and prepare financial summaries including income tax workings.

ZarKul is not a bank, financial advisor, tax advisor, or investment manager. Nothing in the application or generated by the application constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Reports generated by ZarKul — including the Tax Year Return working — are tools to assist you and your professional advisors, not a substitute for professional judgment.

03Your account

Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older to create a ZarKul account.
Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. ZarKul records what you tell it — it cannot verify your transactions against external sources.
Security: You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@zarkul.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
One account per person: Each account is for one individual. You may invite household members under the household sharing features — each member must have their own account.

04Household members

If you invite family members to your ZarKul household:

You are responsible for ensuring they agree to these Terms before using the service
You control what data they can see and what actions they can take
You can remove them at any time — their access is revoked immediately
Their personal ZarKul account belongs to them and is not deleted when you remove them from your household

05Acceptable use

You agree to use ZarKul only for lawful personal and household finance management. You agree not to:

Attempt to access another user's data
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the application
Use ZarKul to process data for any purpose other than your own personal or household finance management
Upload or enter content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third party's rights

06Subscription and payment

ZarKul offers the following tiers:

Tier	Who it's for
Free	Limited transactions, 1 user, no SMS/AI features
Pro	Full features, single user
Family	Up to 5 users, household sharing and cash floats
Business	Teams and partnerships, up to 20 users

For beta users

ZarKul is currently in private beta. During the beta period, access is free for all invited users. You will receive at least 30 days' advance notice before your free beta access converts to a paid subscription. You will never be charged without explicit action on your part.

When billing launches:

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
Payment is processed via Stripe — ZarKul does not store your card details
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
You may cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of the paid period
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis; contact support@zarkul.com

07Your data

Your data belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Export: You can request a full export of your data at any time by emailing support@zarkul.com. (In-app export coming before public launch.)
Deletion: If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days.

08Availability and changes

ZarKul is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We take regular backups and have tested our restore process, but we cannot guarantee zero data loss in all failure scenarios.

We may update or change features of the service. For material changes that reduce functionality you are paying for, we will give you at least 30 days' notice.

09If ZarKul closes

Important

This commitment is unconditional. We are telling you this now, before you have any reason to worry about it, because it is the right thing to say.

You will be given at least 60 days' advance notice by email
A full data export will be made available to every user before the service closes
Your data will not be sold as part of any wind-down

10Intellectual property

ZarKul, the ZarKul name, logo, and all application code are the property of Haroon Naseer. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the application without written permission.

The data you enter into ZarKul is yours. You grant ZarKul a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.

11Disclaimer and limitation of liability

ZarKul is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose
We are not liable for any loss of data, financial loss, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
Our total liability to you in any circumstance will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

This does not affect any rights you have under Pakistani consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.

13Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

The current Terms are always available at zarkul.com/terms.
